Here in Minnesota, the Wizards returned from their Christmas break and went through a two-hour practice. In today's Courtside Report, Bradley Beal told me he is working on handling the extra pressure he is facing from opposing defenses. It is expected Nene will once again come off the bench. In his two games back from a foot injury, Nene has delivered 30 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

Instead of hitting a Wall, the Wizards played through John Wall to secure a 104-100 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Wall tied his career high with 16 assists and only had one turnover as the Wizards stopped a four-game losing streak.

The win wasn't easy. The Wizards defense was not there in the first half. Minnesota scored 63 points through the first two quarters, but only had 37 points in the second half. The Wizards improvement on defense was the difference in the game.
