Playing their ninth game in 14 days the Wizards refused to stumble and behind Trevor Ariza's 24 points secured a 98-80 win over the Orlando Magic. There were some hiccups. After bolting out to a 15-2 lead on the Magic, the Wizards slipped into some bad habits of quick shots and lack of pressure on defense and fell behind by five points in the second quarter. Before the break the Wizards recovered and seized control of the game.
Ariza dead-eye shooting, 8 of 9 from the field and 4 for 4 beyond the arc, allowed the Wizards to pull away and give the starters a chance to rest,
