No beach time in Rio

October 11, 2013

This is not a complaint, but the Wizards have been on a tight schedule since their Wednesday arrival here in Rio. Here at 2:00 Brazil time we are just back from a morning practice at Flamengo, one of the world's most popular soccer teams, which also runs a basketball team that is the current champion in Brazil.

There is actually some free time this afternoon. John Wall is busy as part of a trip  to the Christ the Redeemer statue that overlooks Rio.

Nene has a clinic in a favela, one of the many shanty towns that surround Rio. Glenn Consor is at the clinic and we will update you on this special visitt.

As part of the busy Rio schedule, the Wizards held a team dinner Thursday to cap a day that started  with a 10 am practice.

Team Dinner:

Wizards and Bulls from Rio Saturday  at 4:45 PM on 1500 AM!
