Beal is ready for encore and impressing teammates.

October 4, 2013

We have made it to the weekend and are now just days away from the preseason opener Tuesday against Brooklyn. It will be a refreshing break from the routine of practice and it will be exciting to get an early gauge on where the Wizards are after their strong finish to last season.

We are very curious to see second-year guard Bradley Beal in game action. It is fair to say had injury not interrupted Beal's rookie season, he would have been a serious contender for NBA Rookie-of-the-Year. Beal used the Wizards difficult start to 2012/2013 to make him  stronger. He was forced into pressure situations early and by early January came through with a game-winner against Oklahoma City.

Beal worked hard in the off season and teammates have taken notice.

Wizards Report on Beal:

We will have more on the back court of John Wall and Bradley Beal over the weekend on Daily Wizdom.

Also today for your listening pleasure, Glenn Consor and his interview with Garrett Temple. It will be Temple's first full season with the Wizards. Last preseason Temple was cut by Miami. Close observers of the Heat told us they did not want  to let Temple go. We found out why.
